Wow . . . I get a HUGE slap on the wrist for not updating in over 3 months! This semester has been ridiculous -- centipedes in my apartment, roommates falling in and out and very out of friendship, insane levels of stress and tension . . . but I'm going to focus on the nice things, because, well . . . they're nice. Yes, indeed, my wonderful, perfect, marvelous birthday present has arrived!  A brand spanking new SERGER!!!  I don't have to steal my mom's anymore :D Heck, mines better.  It's a white, and it has the best feature I've ever seen, called "wide-open threading" where the whole front opens up so the threading which used to take two tweezers and 20 minutes (and quite a bit of sobbing when I was almost done and everything came apart) it's all right there and easy.  A serger that's easy to thread and doesn't cost a second mortgage.  Plus, I got all the fancy feet too, so I can gather and do two sizes of blind hem and a rolled hem and piping and eve
